What this work is really about

“Addiction doesn't only happen to the person using. It rearranges the nervous system of everyone who loves them.”

Stop spiralling after every crisis

Learn what is support — and what is self-abandonment

Build boundaries that do not collapse under guilt

Make decisions from clarity, not panic

You are exhausted from managing someone else's consequences.

You are afraid that one boundary will become the thing that breaks them.

You miss who they were, while trying to survive who addiction made them.

The other side of this

Imagine what life looks like when you finally put yourself back in it.

This work is hard. But on the other side of it is something you may have forgotten was possible: your own life, reclaimed.

Peace without guilt

Sleep through the night without checking your phone. Feel calm without feeling selfish.

Boundaries that hold

Say no without spiralling. Let consequences happen without feeling responsible for fixing them.

Your identity back

Remember who you were before addiction became the centre of your life. Reconnect with joy, hobbies, and friendships.

Clarity in crisis

Respond instead of react. Know what is yours to carry and what is not.

Recovery is not just for the person using.

You deserve to heal too. You deserve to stop surviving and start living. You deserve support that sees you as the main character of your own story — not a supporting role in someone else's addiction.

Rediscover energy and motivation

Rebuild trust in yourself and your decisions

Create a life that does not revolve around crisis

Model healthy boundaries for your family

Feel hopeful again — even on hard days

Choose the support you need

Not all support should look the same.

Some people need deeper counselling. Some people need immediate guidance through a crisis. Many need both at different times.

Connect With Me

Meet Asha

Against All Odds was built for the people who are often treated like side characters in addiction: the partners, parents, siblings, adult children, and loved ones trying to hold everything together while slowly losing themselves.

With 12 years in personal recovery, I understand every facet of the treatment process from the inside out. As a workshop facilitator, educator, and guest panel speaker at the Recovery Capital Conference, I bring both professional expertise and lived understanding to this work.

I am deeply knowledgeable in local BC resources including detoxes, treatment centres, funding options, and government programs — so I can help you navigate the system, not just your emotions.
